Hi… My name is David Bruce Mahorney III. I am married to the beautiful, engaging, creative and talented Shawn Marie-Myrda Mahorney! I am the first of five siblings by my fantastic, supportive and inspirational parents David Bruce Mahorney II and Susan Elizabeth Schrock! Which is where I obtained these sexy, creative, brilliant and complex set of genes as did the rest of my incredible siblings! I have four brothers and one sister all who are close as conjoined. Jesse, Kevin, Nate and Anna are more than just another face at the table on holidays. We comprise the foundation of who we are as a family and individuals existing in a world of unknowns.

I am back in college at Lansing Community College after a 10 year hiatus and looking to transfer to Michigan State University in the fall of ’08. I will major in Economics, minor in Mathematics and complete a teaching certificate. I am currently trying to become a mentor in the 4-H mentoring Program here in Ingham County. My concern for the next generations of secondary and pre-secondary students is their fiscal education. I remember the first credit card sent to me upon signing up at Grand Rapids Community College. It had a $500 limit that was extinguished in a year! In light of the current credit situation we are experiencing, I think it is a necessity to explore options that will educate our youth on the potential fiscal pitfalls that await their untainted credibility. It is my goal to develop such a program that involves economics and financial planning.

I grew up in the small towns of Northern Indiana and am a Hoosier at heart. We moved to Michigan when I was 10 and I have loved it here ever since. I have always loved the outdoors, the forests and the lakes. I hope this gave you a little background on me. If there is need for more insight I will expand on this section.
